Student Visa & CAQ
With a Visitor Visa, you may enter Canada and attend classes at POINT3 Language Center for up to 24 weeks.
If you are planning to study for more than 24 weeks in the province of Quebec, you MUST FIRST apply for a CAQ (Quebec Certificate of Acceptance). This is a study permit for Quebec. Please refer to this link for further information on the CAQ.

Once you receive your CAQ, you must then apply for a Canadian Study Permit through Citizenship and Immigration Canada or through the Canadian Consulate or Embassy in your home country before arriving in Canada.
To apply for a Canadian Study Permit, you will need:
- A valid passport
- A letter of acceptance from POINT3 Language Center
- The CAQ as indicated above
- Proof of sufficient funds for living expenses
- In some countries, a medical examination is required
CAQ applications may take up to one month to process and Canadian Study Permit applications may take up to three months to process. Please verify with the appropriate authorities in your country.
